What We Do

Everything we do is consciously directed towards helping us to achieve our Mission:

“To enhance the quality of life,

promote the continuing independence

and raise awareness of vision impaired people

of all ages in our community”.

We work closely with local authorities and other organisations to ensure we reach as many people as possible, offering specialist advice about any issues relating to vision impairment. We also provide a wide variety of services within the local community such as:

· Resource Centres

· Mobile Information Units

· Rehabilitation Workers contracted to Social Services

· Rehabilitation Assistants

· Support with independent living skills

· Supplier of daily living and low vision aids

· Home Visitors

· Welfare and Benefits advice

· IT Training

· Social clubs and activities

· Volunteering opportunities

NB: Not all services are available in all areas. Please contact us to find out about the services available in your area.
