David is from Rhyl and this is his story….

DavidWalk

My friends and I have been talking about walking the Offa’s Dyke for a couple of years now and this year we decided that we would set a date and do it. Whilst talking about this it was mentioned about doing the walk for charity and after discussing this over we all decided that Vision Support would be the charity we chose. The reason for this is that my daughter has vision impairment and Vision Support has helped her to adapt to the school environment and work closely with her to help her have the best learning experience possible. The other reason was that vision support is a local charity and quite small and therefore would need all the financial help possible. We will starting the walk on the 28th April 2012 and taking 10/12 days to complete it.

To train for this walk we are hiking every weekend and when the nights get lighter we will be hiking 3 to 4 times a week. We will update you with our progress through Vision Support Facebook page!!
